Property Management Accountant - Leading Property Company

Our client is a Lancashire based, highly successful Commercial Property Company, they are seeking an experienced Property Accounts to assist the expanding property team
This role requires an experienced property administrator to work closely with the Property manager to assist in the management of the portfolio. . There is a mix of office, retail and industrial properties. The department is run through modern property management software.
The firm manages shopping centres, and industrial and office properties with 1000+ tenants with a significant rent role.
The role will require the person to undertake the following:-
- To provide support to the property management surveyor to ensure we deliver an excellent service
- Prepare income reports and all documentation for external accountants
- Liaise with the external accountant for preparation of service charge accounts
- Responsible for year end service charge accounts within a given time frame
- Support the Property Manager with budget reviews
- Raise rent & service charge demands and ad hoc recharges to tenants
- Communicate effectively with tenants
- Carry out client reports and prepare bank reconciliations
- Assist with annual audits and collection of service charge arrears
- Set up new instructions - tenants/properties/clients
- allocation of payments coming into the bank but alongside this monitoring tenants’ accounts and chasing arrears initially
The suitable candidates with have previous experience working as service charge or management accountant ideally within a commercial property management background and either working toward or ACCA qualified, this role offer market leading salary and benefits and a rapidly expanding property team.
