The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate L&T Surveyor to join a leading commercial property consultancy based in Liverpool. The role will predominantly focus on occupier-led lease advisory work across a diverse retail portfolio, combined with selective landlord advisory work within the office and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a varied occupier client portfolio across high street retail, out-of-town retail parks, food stores, veterinary practices, and food & beverage units.

• Advising clients on rent reviews, lease renewals, lease re-gearing, and general lease advisory matters.

• Undertaking negotiations with landlords, tenants, and their representatives to secure favourable outcomes.

• Supporting landlord clients on asset management initiatives, particularly for Grade A office assets in Liverpool and industrial properties near Deeside.

• Preparing high-quality valuation and advisory reports, lease documentation summaries, and strategic advice notes.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring high service standards and consistent communication.

• Keeping updated on market trends, rental values, legislative changes, and case law affecting commercial lease terms.

Skills and Experience Required:

• MRICS qualified (or equivalent experience), preferably with a strong background in Landlord & Tenant matters.

• Experience working across retail sectors; exposure to food, beverage, and leisure sectors is advantageous.

• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to deliver results aligned with client objectives.

• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to develop strong client relationships.

• Good market knowledge of Liverpool, the North West, and wider UK regions is beneficial.
