Job Title: Graduate/Surveyor - Residential Development

Location: Manchester (National remit)

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Graduate or newly qualified Surveyor to join our dynamic Residential Development team based in Manchester. This role will focus on urban regeneration projects and provide exposure across the full spectrum of property development, from initial feasibility studies to the delivery of transformative residential schemes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on nationally significant projects, contributing to innovative regeneration and placemaking efforts across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Residential Development team in the identification, appraisal, and acquisition of development sites.
  • Assist in conducting market research, financial viability assessments, and feasibility studies for potential developments.
  • Contribute to the planning and design phases of projects, working closely with consultants, architects, and planning authorities.
  • Involvement in project management activities, including monitoring progress, managing timelines, and liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Work on land assembly, planning negotiations, and statutory agreements.
  • Engage in site visits, inspections, and valuations as needed.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and clients.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and other professionals to ensure the successful progression of projects.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Degree in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field, and either working towards or having recently attained professional qualification (MRICS preferred).
  • A strong interest in residential development and urban regeneration.
  • Excellent analytical skills and an ability to conduct financial appraisals.
  • Good understanding of the UK planning system and property development process.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
