Head of Project Management - Leading Multi Disciplinary Consultancy.

North West, £70,000–£100,000 Excellent Salary and Generous Bonus scheme and market leading Benefits package.

Our clients are one of the fastest and largest Multi-Disciplinary Consultancies in Manchester, with an excellent client base of Regional and National clients. A Head of Project Management is sought to lead and develop this newly created Project management function, working alongside the existing and esteemed Building Surveyor team. You will be working on existing pipeline of significant new build and large refurbishment schemes in commercial and residential and sports related sectors across the North West.

The role will be establish and develop a leading Project Management team creating long last relationship with a respected client base of Developers, Housebuilders, Investors and Occupiers across the North of England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong stakeholder management at all senior levels & ability to create long lasting relationships with clients
  • A personal network of consultants, contractors & clients that you can rely on
  • Ability to think strategically & advise client on complicated issues
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Resolving challenging issues & understanding project challenges
  • Running projects and being the centre point to have oversight of all projects
  • Complex mapping project requirements.
  • Developing detailed project plans & business cases to guide clients through projects
  • Monitoring complex project performance to ensure timely delivery, including complex project status reports to clients, management and all other relevant stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining excellent leadership and communication skills, effectively building the relationship with the client and contractors at all times
  • Manage all relevant budgets, monitoring expenditure and costs, advising the client and internal stakeholders of any deviation
  • Travel to client sites where applicable

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum 3+ years of experience at Associate Director / Director
  • Have thorough knowledge of the RIBA Stages & deep understanding of JCT Design & Build projects
  • Detailed understanding of Project Management processes RICS/APM/CIOB
  • Highly organised and a forward thinker
