Our client is a significant property investment and asset management business with a substantial and diverse commercial portfolio across the UK. Due to continued growth and strategic portfolio expansion, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Land and Leasing Manager to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic property professional to play a key role in driving value through innovative leasing strategies and the commercial optimisation of a national land bank.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for maximising income and enhancing value across a varied commercial property portfolio, including industrial, office, and retail assets.

The role will also focus on identifying and delivering alternative income-producing opportunities across a national land holding, helping to unlock underutilised potential and support long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative leasing strategies to maximise occupancy levels, rental growth, and asset performance.
• Lead lease negotiations, renewals, rent reviews, restructures, and new lettings across industrial, office, and retail assets.
• Identify and deliver innovative income-generating opportunities across the wider land portfolio, including temporary uses, storage, telecoms, renewable energy, events, and commercial partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong tenant, agent, and stakeholder relationships.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for value creation.
• Prepare financial appraisals, commercial proposals, and business cases to support strategic initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with asset management, legal, finance, and development teams.
• Manage external consultants and agents to ensure delivery against commercial objectives.
• Support the long-term strategic management and optimisation of the national land bank.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially astute property professional with experience managing and enhancing mixed-use commercial property portfolios.

You will demonstrate:

• Proven experience in commercial leasing and land management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience identifying and implementing non-traditional or alternative income streams.
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen.
• The ability to think strategically while delivering operational results.
• Knowledge of industrial, office, and retail property markets.
• MRICS qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
