Manchester, £30,000– plus pension, income protection and private medical insurance

Our client’s Building Surveying Team takes a proactive approach to managing and conducting surveys, designing specifications, administering projects, and providing bespoke services to ensure optimal maintenance and performance of our clients' estates. Additionally, they offer comprehensive commercial services such as Dilapidations, Lease Advice, and Pre-acquisition surveys.

They operate across various sectors including Commercial, Residential, Education, Sports, Nuclear, and Retail, actively engaging with clients and projects in these areas. Their surveyors work closely with clients, advising them on legal and financial matters throughout the project lifecycle. They pride ourselves on delivering high-quality service and nurturing long-term client relationships.

Overview of Role:

They are currently seeking an Assistant/Experienced Graduate Building Surveyor to join our client-focused team in our Manchester office. This presents an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to and strengthen the team.

This role offers the chance for a proactive individual to take ownership of providing core surveying services across a range of interesting property areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business objectives by consistently delivering value for money
  • Efficiently carry out assigned duties in accordance with established processes and procedures
  • Adhere to procurement, commercial, and contractual strategies
  • Take personal responsibility for compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality Standards

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related technical discipline
  • Ideally a minimum of 18 months professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in technical delivery
  • Strong skills in specification writing
  • Familiarity with JCT Contracts
  • Client-facing with a commitment to delivering high technical standards
  • Ability to cultivate long-term relationships
  • Track record of working within teams, managing projects, prioritizing workloads, and meeting deadlines
