Ideal Candidate

• Ideally 2+ years MRICS post qualification experience.
• Confident to work independently, but also as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients,
suppliers, and consultants.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of articulating clear advice to all within a working context
• working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts and experience in administering;
• experience in the commercial sector;
• able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to a high standard;
• well organised, efficient, using initiative and working to tight deadlines; and
• confidence and determination to get the job done striving at all times to exceed the
client’s expectations.

The Role

The newly created role will involve working as part of an experienced team of five within the Building Consultancy team. We require an energetic and hardworking individual who wants to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial office.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

• planning and overseeing building work on a range of commercial projects up to £10
million;
• project management of multidisciplinary teams;
• working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts and experience in administering;
• working knowledge of MS Project;
• contract administration;
• advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial,
legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters;
• undertaking building surveys;
• advice on defect diagnostics (predominantly commercial properties) and repair work;
• produce budget cost plans for proposed works;
• preparation of schedules of works; and
• preparation of schedule of dilapidations and negotiating on be behalf of Landlord and Tenant.
