Job Specification: Associate, Commercial Valuation Team

Location: Manchester

Salary: £60,000+ per annum

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Associate (or Senior Surveyor looking to step up) to join their growing Commercial Valuation team in Manchester. This role is integral to their bank lending valuation work, as they are on the panels of most major banks and also serve a diverse range of property companies. Additionally, you will handle portfolio valuation work in collaboration with the London office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough and accurate commercial property valuations for bank lending purposes and other clients.
• Managing an average fee of £4,000, ensuring high-quality instructions are met across all commercial sectors.
• Contributing to the development and growth of the department through proactive business development activities.
• Collaborating with the London office on portfolio valuation projects.
• Maintaining compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements, backed by the firm’s £50m professional indemnity insurance.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and qualifications:

• MRICS qualification with significant experience in commercial property valuation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Proactive approach to business development, with a desire to help grow the department.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility with hybrid working, with an expectation to be in the office three days a week.
