Our client is one of the fast-growing UK privately owned property company with significant commercial property assets including shopping centres, offices and industrial estates across the UK, based in the Northwest. With over 4 million sq ft new build industrial property under construction and over 10 million sq ft of existing commercial assets. Their in-house construction company are seeking a Head of Civil Engineering.

The Role will primarily involve the management and leadership of all civils design works in the Group.
Based at our Head Office in Chorley with a requirement to visit various sites within our portfolio. Our primary
developments are industrial projects up to 2million sq ft.
Key Duties

• Procure and provide civils designs for projects in accordance with relevant design standards and codes
• Lead the Civil Engineering design and provide supervision and management
• Interface and management of civils sub-consultants and specialist supply chain
• Ensure the provision of high-quality Engineering services
• Comply with Quality and Technical Assurance Procedures
• Produce monthly progress reports and present to the senior team

This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you could be asked to pick up other tasks from across
the business as and when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience Required
• Extensive Drainage experience
• Extensive cut and fill design experience
• Experience developing Suds strategies for major developments
• A degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
• Working knowledge of design software
• Experience with current UK design standards and working practices
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
