- Working closely with the Regeneration Director, the role will predominately be to work on two iconic Sheffield regeneration projects.
- Other Sites – work with internal and external stakeholders to bring forward viable development proposals for other sites across the UK as need and opportunity arise

Key Accountabilities: |
- Manage and deliver developments from inception through to completion and occupation
- Shape project vision to align with Urban Splash’s purpose-led values and commercial business plan objectives
- Prepare financial development appraisals to assess project viability and financial performance
- Oversee design process, preparing project briefs, leading design team meetings, site meetings and liaising with consultants and contractors through all RIBA stages
- Prepare and secure planning consents – working with design team, planning officers and stakeholders
- Project planning and execution – prepare, monitor and report project progress against project budgets, objectives and programme including regular written and verbal reports to Urban Splash board
- Funding - apply for and secure grants and finance from public and private sources, lenders, investors, funds and banks
- Liaise with Project Manager to procure and appoint construction team/main contractor
- Liaise with in-house and external residential and commercial teams to drive sales and lettings, including market research, sales valuations, pricing, identification of tenants/buyers, negotiating terms, licences, and other legal documentation
- Affordable Housing – liaise with Registered Housing providers to deliver affordable tenures within projects
- Marketing and PR – liaise with internal and external marketing, graphics and PR teams to ensure the scheme achieves maximum positive exposure, profile and sales
- Set up and management of building and estate management arrangements, agents
- Other duties as required in the development process

Background/Skills |
Essential
- Good understanding and familiarity with all aspects of the development cycle from acquisition/vision to disposal
- Development appraisals – ideally familiarity with Argus software (or willingness to train), confident facility with numbers, cost plans, area schedules and all other financial inputs
- Confident design instincts in a development/property regeneration context
- Partnership-building and interpersonal skills – ability to work with and form strong bonds of trust and interdependency with public and private partners, stakeholders, suppliers, professional advisors, contractors, residents, commercial tenants
- Strong verbal communication skills – ability to speak, present and write clearly for wide range of audiences
- willingness to learn, get stuck into the detail and have a desire to deliver quality
Desirable
- Experience of delivering specifically commercial (ie non-residential) development is especially welcomed due to the Cole Brothers project
- Experienced and confident in leading/chairing meetings
- Experience of commercial and legal negotiations and agreement
